In this photo I see a very large beach with one person standing and looking out into the water. The sun is reflecting off the water and makes the water look like its glowing. There are other footsteps in the sand along the whole picture of the beach. This picture makes me feel happy and remorseful. It also makes me want it to be summer. The way the waves are crashing I wish I was just able to sit there and think about life and think about everything. It looks very peaceful. 

In this picture I see 4 black kids posing for a picture. One of them is blowing a bubble and the others are making a face or posing for the camera. Only a few of them are actually wearing shoes which leads me to believe that they come from a lower class family or they are low in society. This picture makes me feel how lucky I am and how privileged I am to have what I have and it makes me realize how lucky I am to have what I have. 

What is the function of photography in today's scoiety? Why do people photogrpah?

A photograph is an image created by light falling on a light sensitive surface, usually photographic film or an electronic imager. A photograph to me is when we capture a moment. That moment can be good, bad, or unexpected. Photographs are used for many things. people take photos so that they have something to look back on years later. Photographs are used to show people what life can really be like or what life is like for them. Photos can be used to describe a persons mood or way they want to describe themselves. Photos can be used to show happiness. A photo can be indescribable.

There are many reasons why people take family snapshots. Family snapshots can show other family members that are a long-distance away what they look like. A fmaily snapshot can show people who have not seen you in a while what the family looks like. A family snapshot can be for the familys purpose to look back on 10 years later and have somethign to remember. A family snapshot shows people and the family what they look like.

People today take or use photos to describe the mood they feel or describe the mood that thety are in. My sister uses pictures of the Hudson River at different times of the day to show different moods that people may feel at a certain time. For example, when the sun is setting over the Hudson River the picture makes me feel warm, cozy, and comfortable. Pictures are able to set the mood or can relate to epoples moods.

There are so many reasons why pictures can be taken. There is the reason that people want to desribe to people later on what happened to them in that picture. Pictures can spark conversations that people may not be able to have without pictures. Pictures can be very constructive to people and can show them the true meaning of life or can describe many feelings.

The Giants continue to look great and play great football. The New York Giants beat the Tampa bay Bucs 24-0 on sunday and Eli Manning and the crew looked sharp. The Giants defense held tampa to a remarkable 86 yards. The Giants ran for 226 yards and had a total of 27 first downs the most they've had since October 5, 2008. The Giants protected the ball once again. It has been two games since the Giants have turned the ball over. The Giants are looking good this 2009-10 season.

Michael Jordan

This is one of the most famous basketball photos in the world. this is Michael Jordan dunking the ball in a game. He was probably the best basketball player ever to touch the court in the history of the game. This is one of my favorite photos because it inspires me to want to "be like Mike".

A- LOUIS!!!!!!

When I went to Africa this summer, we did community service in one of the small villages there. This picture is of me and a little boy named A-Louis who lives in the village. I feel like everyday that we paid attention to those kids it made them so much happier. This picture always puts a smile on my face when I look at it.

Pemba Island, Tanzania

This past summer I traveled to Tanzania. It was probably one of the most exciting and most amazing trips that I have ever been on. This si a picture that I found on Google images off the Island of Pemba. Every time I look at this picture it takes me back to the great memories I had in Africa.

David Tyree Giants Super Bowl Catch

So, this is one of my favortie pictures. It happened 2 years ago when the Giants played the Patriots in the Superbowl. David Tyree was the one who caught this ball to help the Giants drive down the field and score the game winning touchdown.
